Our initial AYUR CLINIC consultation involves determining what your body type (body constitution) is and the current state of balance or imbalance in the doshas.
If you are having a particular problem, it is important to find out the underlying cause. Therefore, you may be asked to provide the history of the illnesses in the past, treatment history, family history, occupational history, personal history (diet, lifestyle and habits) etc.
Also taken into consideration is whether your age, your constitution, or the weather is contributing to the problem.
To assess your state of health, different diagnostic techniques such as pulse diagnosis, tongue diagnosis, eye diagnosis, face, lips and nails examination will be used.
Based on the findings you will be given a particular regimen to follow, which may involve Ayurvedic medicines, diet, exercise, breathing techniques and other self-care practices. If necessary, some sort of detoxification programs will be advised, like ‘Panchakarma’, followed by a program for rebuilding the body’s strength and immunity.
Ayurvedic follow-up consultation helps to determine the progress of your health condition, and it happens after two to four weeks from the initial consultation. Pulse, tongue and eyes will be tested this time to find out the progression of the balance of the bodily doshas and accordingly, will make changes in the diet schedule and herbal supplements if needed.
The homeopath approaches each patient in a holistic manner and regards the physical, emotional and mental or spiritual complaints of each person as intimately connected since all are aspects of the whole being of the patient suffering.
Homeopaths understand that symptoms of disease are evidence of the body’s natural and automatic effort to heal itself and these clues are used to guide them when prescribing a remedy.
Your homeopath will ask detailed question on all aspects of your life past and present. Be as detailed and thorough as possible, what you may determine as unusual, trivial or unimportant could hold a greater significance to your homeopath. Initial consultations are long, could last an hour or more and all discussions are treated with the strictest confidence.
Your homeopath understands that establishing good health involves treating both mind and body, so time is taken to listen to your emotional and physical symptoms. To stimulate your body’s own healing process, a remedy closest to your individual symptom picture is prescribed. Healing, being from within your body, strengthening your health and immune system, without any danger of damaging side effects.
Generally, the follow-up visit will be approximately two to four weeks after the first interview and remedy prescription. In simple cases, a patient will feel significantly better after the first treatment. The follow-up visits are used to determine what additional methods or remedies are required. In some cases, it may be required to use more than one remedy sequentially so that balance and full health can be restored.
Ayurvedic and Homeopathic systems demand personalized attention and it is essential to find out the persons individual constitution and imbalance, for a proper prescribing and advice on diet, lifestyle and treatments. So, we encourage our clients to see us in person at least for the initial consultation.
